Dear Mudbug Families,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful summer! Whether your days were filled with vacations, camps, family time, or simply slowing down for a little while, I hope they were filled with moments that brought you joy.
Every child who walks through our doors brings a story of their own, and it is a privilege to be part of the next chapter. Together, we'll fill these pages with new friendships, meaningful learning, unforgettable experiences, and moments that will last long after this school year ends.

Before we turn the page, it's worth celebrating the incredible chapter we just completed. Last year, our students made tremendous academic gains, increasing our Mastery and Advanced LEAP scores by 7%. Today, 81% of our students are performing at the Mastery or Advanced level on the LEAP assessment. We also celebrated 14 perfect LEAP scores in Math, English Language Arts, and Social Studies across grades 3-5. Our youngest Mudbugs continue to shine as well, with 98.6% of our students in grades K-2 scoring At or Above Benchmark in DIBELS Literacy.

These accomplishments make us incredibly proud, but what makes me even prouder is how they happened. They tell the story of students who worked hard, teachers who poured their hearts into every lesson, families who supported learning at home, and a community that believes every child can achieve great things. Those are the stories that make Ray St. Pierre such a special place.

And last year’s successes are wonderful moments in our story, but they are not the end. They're only the beginning, and we can't wait to write the next chapter together at Ray St. Pierre. We'll continue to challenge our students, celebrate every milestone, and create a school where children are known, loved, encouraged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being such an important part of our Mudbug family. We can't wait to turn the page and begin another amazing year together!
